Christmas in Ayrshire at The Festival Gardens

Festive Victorian Fun for the whole family this Christmas in Ayrshire at Seamill Hydro!

With all the fun of the Fair the festival gardens offer a festive day out full of laughter and magic on the Ayrshire coast.

Our Victorian Swing Boats offer an enchanted glimpse back in time, the swish and sway of the boats makes you feel like you are actually in the frozen sea which you overlook. The swing boats are full size and so adults and children alike can enjoy this magical ride this Christmas.

The Helter Skelter has always been an icon of the traditional fairground, towering above the other rides and attractions. Set on the Ayrshire coast this Christmas will be our Helter Skelter with spectacular views from the top of over 100 square miles of Ayrshire’s wonderful coastline. Push yourself off to enjoy a truly unique fun and festive ride and the view whirls by and the fresh Ayrshire sea air rushes over you. (Due to unusually stormy weather we have replaced the Helter Skelter with the Ferris Wheel).

The main attraction of any good Victorian Fairground was the Carousel and our fair is no different, we are delighted to host this grand and ornate attraction. This wonderful and eye catching piece is a favourite for children of all ages and adults alike and takes you back to a bygone and carefree era. What a magical way to spend a fun packed festive family day out on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland!

So if the kids are bored on the dark school nights or when it gets to Christmas holiday time, get the whole family wrapped up warm and come along for a fun packed family day/evening out in Ayrshire this Christmas.

Our Victorian Fairground attractions are non pre-bookable, tokens can be purchased on the day throughout the hotel.  Please note that tokens are non-refundable.

Once you have enjoyed all the fun of the fair why not make a day of it and go for a leisurely skate on our Outdoor Ice Skating Rink and then retreat into the warm for some more festive family fun at our indoor Santa's Ice Palace Grotto, Rudolph's Playroom and then treat yourself to our array of festive treats in our Restaurant!
